Winter Wrap Up

Welcoming Spring 2025 at the Log Cabin: Memories and Upcoming Events!

Written by Angelina K

Before we step into the beauty of the spring season, let’s take a few moments to reflect on the amazing memories we’ve made so far in 2025.

The White Center Teen Program has seen a rise in attendance, with an average of 60-100 youth attending daily, ranging in age from 12 to 19. It’s been incredible to see so many youth in our community come together to engage in a variety of activities and build meaningful connections.

This winter, we offered a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, and outdoor soccer. Starting March 15th, flag football will kick off the spring season! This is open to anyone, so bring your friends and enjoy some outdoor fun in the sun.

In addition to sports, we’ve been fortunate to have delicious dinners from Tuesday to Saturday. A special thank you to Burnt Toast and Chef Mark, who comes in four times a week to teach youth essential cooking and kitchen skills. This structure has been a huge hit, and we love seeing young people gain confidence in the kitchen while cooking up delicious meals they helped with!

Looking ahead, we have an exciting mural design project coming up! If you are interested in helping, stop by the cabin to learn more about it. It’s a great opportunity to be part of something creative and lasting!

Also, don’t miss our big events this spring! :

  • What’s Up White Center is happening on April 4th, from 3-8pm
  • Lastly, our annual Cultural Connection Night and Talent Show is happening on April 18th, from 5-7pm
