
ANNUAL KING COUNTY PARKS HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
Spooky Town returns to Steve Cox Memorial Park on Saturday, October 25th from 2-5pm! Families are invited to stroll through the Park and
- Play CARNIVAL GAMES hosted by WC Teen Program Volunteers
- Create Spooky Town related crafts or grab some Make and Take Art kits
- Challenge themselves to the Fall SCMP Scavenger Hunt
- Snap photos at several step and repeat displays
- Hunt for Dragon eyes on the Multi purpose Field
- Visit the Pumkin Patch for a free pumpkin, try out the obstacle course and vote for your favorite pumpkin of 2025
- Take the Underground Spooky Town Tour through the basement of the Historic White center Field House. (Friendly for all ages)
- Tour the Haunted Crypt (recommended for ages 10 and up)
- Enjoy hot cider, hot cocoa and hotdogs courtesy of Dub Sea Fish Sticks
- Trunk or treat with the Easy Duz it Car Club
All giveaways available while supplies last. All activities are FREE. Food and Cash Donations will be accepted to benefit the White Center Food Bank.

TEEN VOLUNTEERS needed SEPT 24 – OCT 30
During September and October, the Log Cabin is hosting ongoing Teen Volunteer events between 4-7pm, Tuesdays- Saturdays. Teen volunteers will be working on a variety of projects including:
- Designing Carnival Games
- Painting Spooky Town Set Pieces
- Packing arts and crafts projects
- Making Slime
- Decorating the Spooky Town Underground Tour
- Carving and painting Pumpkins

FALL FAMILY PROGRAMS at the Log Cabin (1321 SW 102nd st 98146)
Programs hosted in person with zoom options available for some activities:
- Batty Bingo for all ages on Friday, October 3rd from 6-7pm. In person at the Log Cabin or pick up Bingo cards in advance and join on zoom.
- Spooky Sack Lunch for ages 18 and under on Saturday, October 4th from noon-2pm at the Log Cabin.
- Glow in the Dark Volleyball for ages 12 – 19 on Friday, October 10th from 6-7pm at the Log Cabin.
- Spooky Town Painting Party with local artist PAZ (all supplies provided) for all ages on Friday, October 17th at 6pm. Please sign up in advance with Vana at 206.477.2105 to reserve your spot. Zoom link available.
- Spooky Town Grab and Go crafts available for pick up at the Carnival as well as from the White Center Teen Program at the Log Cabin (1321 SW 102nd) between 3-8pm any Tue – Sat. DIY craft tutorials available at http://bit.ly/SpookyTownattheLogCabin
- Steve Cox Memorial Park Fall Scavenger Hunt runs from Friday, October 24th thru Saturday, November 15th. Completed hunts can be turned in for prizes during Spooky Town or any Tue – Sat between 3-8pm at the WCTP.

As noted, all Carnival activities and Fall Recreation programs are Free. The White Center Foodbank will be in attendance on October 25th for anyone wishing to make a donation directly to the Foodbank.
The WCFB donation list currently includes:
- Shelf Stable Food: Canned Meat/ Fish (pop-top), Rice Noodles, Spices, Peanut Butter, Coffee, Broth, Condiments (BBQ, mustard, mayo), Sugar, Rice (2lb bags), Soy Sauce, Brown Sugar, Tamari Sauce, Oil, Ponzu Sauce, Dried Chiles, and Ramen.
- Non – Food Items: Baby Wipes, and Sizes 2-3-4-5-6 Diapers.
