The Peace N The Hood 3v3 Basketball tournament started in 2014 (about 10 years ago) and the founder of the event is Justin Cox. Justin came up with this idea to create an event that would not only bring the youth out to play in White Center for free, but also bring the community out to support the youth in their own neighborhood.
This event was about more than just basketball and focused on community; PNTH helped bond players in a positive way and helped neighborhood teens understand that we can uplift one another.
Peace N The Hood has grown over the last 10 years to be more about the youth learning about other resources in the White Center community, which is why the Peace N The Hood Job Fair was added to this event about 8 years ago.
Not only can a teen come out to have a great time, but they can also apply for summer jobs . . . and that has made a huge impact for our young leaders.
The 2024 PNTH event is coming up at Steve Cox Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 5th and once again features the traditional 3v3 Tournament and Job Fair!
